Filmed entirely on location in Ireland and London A Song for Ireland is a friendly light hearted and informative journey discovering the popular music emanating from Ireland. Music that is currently enjoying great international success.
The programme features some of Ireland's leading popular artistes and in conversation with them Bryan Murray, whom many will recgonise as the incorrigible rogue character from the TV series The Irish RM, traces the history of the song and the reasons for their lasting worldwide appeal.
Each song features not only the artistes performing in the beautiful scenic locations around Ireland but a dramatisation of words in the songs in a style that is now familiar to all as the music video.
