Airport '80 - The Concorde

Concorde comes under attack from the Buzzard Attack Missile, brainchild of Dr. Kevin Harrison (ROBERT WAGNER) a brilliant scientist, when he is threatened with exposure, having been discovered to be selling arms illegally for foreign companies. Amongst the passengers making the journey from Washington DC to Paris is the Russian Olympic team who are on a goodwill tour of the West, and one of whose members Alicia (ANDREA MARCOVICCI) manages a clandestine love affair with a Western journalist Robert Plamer (JOHN DAVIDSON) despite the beady eye of her coach Nelli (MERCEDES McMCAMBRIDGE). In command of the aircraft is Capt. Paul Metrand (ALAIN DELON) who seems to be picking up his relationship with the Cabin Supervisor Isabelle (SLYVIA KRISTEL) where they left off two years earlier, when they stopped living together. Also abroad is the cause of all the problems; Maggie Whelan (SUSAN BLAKLEY), Harrison's mistress and expectant mother of their child, who in her capacity as a TV Reporter has come across documents proving her lover's implication in illegal arm sales, and who, after fruitless confrontation with him is on her way to Paris to call a Press Conference to expose him. © Universal City Studios, Inc.
