Someone's been tampering with the telephone system - someone who knows how to turn and ordinary telephone into a terrifying death machine! An innocent girl is the first victim, killed when she answers a public telephone in the sub-way. In an attempt to find out why she died her former tutor (RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN) puts his own life in the balance in a race against time to find the diabolical mastermind who is controlling the killer machines.
