Open your eyes to 'Eat to the Beat'
An electrifying visual presentation of Blondie's top selling 'EAT TO THE BEAT' album and a must for the millions of Blondie fans throughout the world. Shot entirely on location in the group's home town of New York, the film visualises many aspects of the city which have inspired their music.
'Union City Blue' is film at the Union City Dry Docks in New Jersey with spectacular helicopter shots of the docks, the Hudson River and New York City. 'The Hardest Part' is played against a backdrop of bright graffiti, the same type that can be found sprayed over New York's underground trains.
'Eat to the Beat', 'Dreaming' and 'Living in the Real World' re-create the atmosphere of the famous 60's American TV programme 'Shindig'. Surrealism and science fiction themes are also explored with stunning effect, particularly with 'Sound Asleep', which features a solo cameo from Debbie Harry on a large circular bed, and 'Atomic' which fantasises the group performing a concert after a nuclear war. So open your eyes to 'Eat to the Beat' the world's first video album
