When quack faith healer Francis Bigger falls off the stage at the Village Hall and lands on his back in the County Hospital, he joins a motley collection of patients looked after by a far from reassuring team of doctors and nurses supervised by a big dragon of a Matron.
Only when the patients revolt to further the romance between Dr Kilmore and Nurse Clarke (Jim Dale and Anita Harris) - much to the dismay of the staff.
