John Mills and Richard Attenborough and Bernard Lee star in this gripping true story of one of the most crucial events of the Second World War: the historic evacuation of more than 350,000 men from the beaches of Dunkirk in 1940. With the Germans pushing the British back to the edge of the sea and then strafing them on the beaches, the civilians of Britain came back to the rescue of their armed forces.
