YOU CAN LOCK YOUR CAR, BUT IF HE WANTS IT...IT'S GONE IN 60 SECONDS
Whether its deftly ripping off a new Rolls Royce at Los Angeles International Airport or driving madly the wrong direction on a one-way street ahead of a phalanx of patrol cars. Maindrain Pace finds car theft exhilarating and lucrative. To fulfil a contract for $400,000 in stolen cars. The expensive autos needed for the contract must be located, stolen and delivered to the docks in just five days. 48 cars include Rolls Royces, Cadillacs and some rare foreign models are quickly taken; each in no more than 60 seconds, but a 1973 Ford Mustang requires more time and trouble than the others. When the car is taken the police are waiting to pounce, there follows a 40 minute chase down wrong-way streets, between lanes on the freeway, spectacular crashes and a mid air jump of 128 feet.
