Hi-Riders

Mart (DARBY HINTON) and Lynn (DIANE PETERSON) meet the Hi-Riders, a gang of tough, jean-jacketed, drag racers. TJ (Wm. J. BEAUDINE), the leader of the Hi-Riders, invites Mark and Lynn to join the gang on a run to nearby town. The Hi-Riders stop at a bar where they meet Red (NEVILLE BRAND) the bartender, and Angie (KAREN FREDRIK) his waitress. Jason (STEPHEN HELGOTH) arrives at the bar and challenges one of the Hi-Riders to a drag race. In a spectacular accident, Jason and the Hi-Rider are killed. The Hi-Riders have a wild party in honour of the dead drivers, Mr. Lewis (STEPHEN McNALLY), Jason's father storms into the bar and accuses the gang of killing his son. The sheriff (MEL FERRER) and his deputy (RALPH MEEKER) inform Mr. Lewis that his son's death was legally an accident. Mr. Lewis strides from the bar, threatening the Hi-Riders with vengeance for his son's death. The Hi-Riders are ambushed and killed at a gas station by Mr. Lewis's henchmen. Mark and TJ, along with Lynn and Angie, who is now riding with TJ, approach the station and realize, too late, what has happened. A fantastic, stunt filled, chase ensues. Finally culminating with a deadly head to head confrontation between Mr. Lewis, the sheriff, the deputy and our gang of young heroes.
