In the second part of this special two-part video, David Attenborough continues his exploration of our planet's incredible variety of habitats and wildlife.
The challenging conditions that exist between the tides, the pure waters of the mountain streams, the muddy expanse of the great Amazon river, the depths of the Atlantic Ocean, even the air above us and the concrete jungles of the man-made-cities-all these offer opportunities for life. Here are butterflies that migrate thousands of miles, fish with their own built-in lights, strange nocturnal flightless parrots, ginat lizards, gliding squirrels and the extraordinary narwhal - the unicorn of the sea.
Finally David Attenborough takes us to man-made urban enviroments and shows how we exploit the natural world through selective breeding. But in a masterly and thought-provoking conclusion he also shows how we have destroyed and polluted much of what Nature millions of years to evolve and why there are many reasons we should urgemtly change our ways.
