After his portrayal of the monster in "Frankenstein" , BORIS KARLOFF created another terriying character in "THE MUMMY" . This time Karloff plays Im Ho Tep, an ancient Egyption high pries who was embalmed alive for attempting to revive a scrificed vestal virgin. Awakened after 3, 700 years by an archaeological expedition, Im Ho Tep, dressed in the garb of a modern Egyptian, he creates terror and mayhem as he searches for his lost love.
