North By Northwest

Alfred Hitchcock's 1959 North By Northwest was his first thriller for MGM and its splendid and audacious mixture of suspense, mystery and breathless excitement make it for many his most enjoyable film with a perfect cast, led by Cary Grant, Eve Marie Saint and James Mason providing polished entertainment all the way. The film is packed with those unique Hitchcock touches, Ernest Lehman received an Oscar nomination for this witty and incident-packed script and, no matter how often it is seen, North By Northwest still thrills.
