WE STILL HAVEN'T GOT THE MESSAGE.....
Young Tracy Richards is sad that her parents, Don and Paula, are separated. Her home life is haphazard - she only sees her father for a weekly outing to a movie and a Chinese meal. Over lunch with Dad she receives a message 'Meet me in the lounge - God'. There she encounters a spry and likeable old man, who only Tracy can see and hear. God confides that He feels overlooked, that too many people are forgetting about him. Tracy suggests He needs a slogan (her father is in advertising) and comes up with THINK GOD, who immediately likes it, asking if she'll agree to spread the word. Her school friends are soon helping to scrawl the phrase on everything from bumpers to billboards. The authorities become exasperated, but Tracy refuses pleas to call it all off before personally consulting God. She is suspended from school. An increasingly worried Don and Paula seek advice from child psychologist Dr Newell who arranges for Tracy to undergo thorough tests. He concludes that she needs the care of a special institution. Meanwhile God continues to visit and advise her, and the campaign snowballs across the nation and the world. Worried at the prospect of an institution, Tracy decides to run away from home, but in her ensuing adventures and determination to be taken seriously, she is to have the unique support of God - and His miracles.
