IT'S A MAN'S WORLD - WITH THE LADY RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE Judy Benjamin is a 28 year old woman who has been over protected by wealthy, doting parents. They guide her through a failed first marriage, then a second marriage to a successful lawyer Yale Goodman, and his sudden death. Distraught, and anxious to deflect her mind from her immediate problems she is beguiled into joining the army. The rigours of basic training provide a rude awakening, punctuated by a sense of comic situations and her confrontations with an ambitious 'career woman' - Captain Doreen Lewis. Despite herself, she meets the challenges and becomes a model soldier, being selected by Col. Thornbush as the only woman member of his elite paratroop unit. Rebuffing his advances, she demands a transfer. Assigned to NATO near Paris, she continues to meet successfully the demands of her army career, holding her own in a male dominated contingent.
