The Outcast In classical STAR TREK fashion, this episode deals with the intolerance and fear of sexual difference. While assisting the J'nail locate their missing shuttlecraft, Commander William Riker becomes romantically involved with a member of this androgynous race. Cause and Effect The Enterprise crew is caught in a causality loop, which reapeatdly ends in a collision with another ship and their annihilation. As feelings of deja vu become stronger with each loop, the crew must find a solution to their predicament or remain in the loop forever.
