Worf is held captive in a Romulan prison camp along with the survivors of the Khitomer massacre. He cannot accept the elder Klingons allowing the Romulans to rob them of their honour, and begins to teach their children the meaning of being Klingon, at the risk of his own life.

The Enterprise is evacuated so it can undergo a baryon sweep to remove particles accumulated on the vessel over its years in space. Picard finds himself trapped aboard between the deadly rays and interstellar thieves intent on stealing the ship. Can he singlehandedly save the day?
