The Bridges at Toko-Ri

The Bridges at Toko-Ri is an exciting adventure film set during the Korean crisis. William Holden is Harry Brubaker, a busy American lawyer, who resents being called up for a second time, but he realises he must fight because 'he is there'. He insists on flying against the bridges at Toko-ri, a target so dangerous and well defended that its ultimate destruction must automatically be a telling blow to the enemy morale and a mission from which he is unlikely to return. Meanwhile, back in Japanl Brubaker's wife (Grace Kelly) must condition herself to the losses of war. Mickey Rooney gives an unforgetable performance as an air-sea rescue chopper pilot.
