Returning from 10 years of spreading the Word in Africa, the Rev.Charles Fortescue is sent to London's East End to run a mission to fallen women. But, by a series of twists of fate, and aided by an attractive lady philanthropist who shares his interest in fertility symbols, the missionary soon finds he has to adopt a new position with in his fallen flock.
