Uptown Saturday Night

THE BIG NIGHT OF THE WEEK - FOR RIP-OFFS! The misadventures of Steve Jackson, hard-working factory hand, and his fun loving friend Wardell Franklin begin on a Saturday night at Madame Zenobia's. Wardell loses his craps money and Steve his $50,000 lottery ticket when the club and it's patrons are ripped-off by Silky Slim. They decide to go after the crooks themselves. Along the way they get into trouble with hustlers, pushers, minor and major underworld figures; they try the patience of their respective wives, Sarah and Irma. They even land overnight in jail and when they try to hire a private detective he takes their money and disappears. In desperation they turn for help to Geechie Dan, a ghetto gangster, but in turn are beaten up by Little Seymour and his gang. At first Geechie Dan thinks they are hit men after him, then he begins to give credence to their story about the rip-off.
