"Grim and thrilling…Westworld jabs you awake and keeps you on edge!" — NY Post
Come pay a visit to Westworld, where the Old West comes alive once again - in the not too distant future. Directed by award-winning writer Michael Crichton from his own script. this story of a technological paradise suddenly turned nightmare is a genuine shocker. An excellent cast makes this vision of a world gone wrong all too believable, and topping the bill there is Yul Brynner's remarkably eerie performance as a robot who develops a taste for the kill.
A lawyer and businessman (Richard Benjamin and James Brolin) are among the visitors to Westworld, a futuristic "theme park" where the gunhands and dance-hall girls are all robots programmed to serve the guests' violent and lustful fantasies - until something goes wrong with their circuitry.
No longer the guests' obliging victim, a black-clad humanoid gunslinger (Brynner) turns on the two heroes. The ultimate amusement turns deadly serious as the men are pursued to a deadly climax by an implacable, unstoppable foe.
"Westworld is an excellent film... Crichton's original script is as superior as his directorial debut is outstanding." (Variety)
