Wild Rovers

Two generations of Hollywood superstars play two generations of cowboys in this engaging and exciting story, written, produced and directed by the hugely successful Blake Edwards. Set in the Wild West of 1880's, the film stars William Holden and Ryan O'Neal as two simple cowhands who really don't want t hurt anyone but who decide to rob a bank and head for Mexico to make their dreams of an easy life come true. But when their boss - played by the ever-reliable Karl Malden - discovers what the two friends have done, he takes it as a personal affront and sends his two sons to bring the outlaws to justice. The chase that follows sees half the movie's action cover half the American southwest, taking in on the way the spectacular scenic backgrounds of Monument Valley, the Colorado River, the red rock country of Arizona and the Snowy Mountains near Flagstaff.
