Once aupon a time. . .or maybe twice. . .there was a place called Pepperland." But the tranquilty of this happy kingdom is shattered when it is invaded by the Blue Meanies who want to purge the world of music, happiness and love. Old Fred, the conductor of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, manages to escape in a Yellow Submarine which sufaces in the streets of Liverpool. There he meets the Beatles who set off with him through the Seas of Time, Science and Holes. . .their mission to bring back music to Pepperland and prove to the enemy that All You Need Is Love.
A unique cartoon fantasia which has never been equalled, Yellow Submarine is a kaledioscopic compendium of art and fashions of the swinging sixties. Art Nouveau, Surrealism, Pop Ar, Op-Art, Psychedelia and matchless songs of the Fab Four - including Eleanor Rigby, Nowhere Man, All Together Now, When I'm Sixty Four and Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds - combine to make this phantasmagorical magical mystery tour an enduring classic with as much to see as there is to hear.
